WHERE YOU GO, I WILL GO – RUTH 1:16-17

But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."
It takes a special grace, LOVE for a man to give himself out without any expectations. Man, by nature always seek his profit in everything and when there is none coming, man takes the easiest route out.
It is possible for us to give our money or gifts to people around us especially the needy but often, we need more to give.
Naomi was a poor (formerly rich), embittered woman (she lost her husband and two children) and had lost all with no hope but to go back to her land and await death in pain and regrets. Not wanting to blame the little women who married her two sons, she kindly and wholeheartedly sent them back to their parents so that they can be married again. Even though it was painful, but she has to do what was right; knowing that she has nothing to offer them.
Ruth, on the other hand was a young widow (even though she had lost a husband at a very youthful age).  She had hope of a brighter future even though it fails with a man, therefore, instantly comforting herself, she moves on with her life. Her experience had made her to understand what it feels to be lonely and sorrowful; therefore, she was ready to stay this old mother – in- law. She persisted on not going back but staying with the woman until they be parted by death, in fact she was ready to die with the old woman. Despite her need (for comfort and companionship), she decided to meet the need of others. She gave herself totally to Naomi. She had no money to offer Naomi but she made herself a source of provision unto her. She had no child to replace the dead sons of Naomi but she made herself a daughter unto her. Despite her loneliness, Ruth reaches out to strengthen Naomi with her presence.
There are many people out there like Naomi who need no money but someone to be Ruth to them. Some need a simple word of encouragement to get out of the pit of depression and state of desperation. Words like, “It is well”; “It is okay”; “Don’t worry”; “No matter what, Jesus loves you”; “ Jesus cares for you”… are what many crave for and couldn’t get that led them into compounded situations.
How many times have we spent time listening to people’s problems even when we don’t have solutions to them? How many times have we stretched forth our hands to embrace the lonely and dejected? How many times have we taken the burden of others to God in the room of prayers? How many times have we made ourselves a friend in need to someone? How many times have we become reliable and reliable to someone? How many times have we made ourselves someone’s confidant? How many times have we made ourselves people to have around? How many times have corrected someone’s mistakes without criticism? How many times have we gone extra mile to make another man stand? How many times have we cried with those in pain and laugh with those rejoicing?
It is more than our money. Give your time; give your words; give your hugs and embrace (but not to the opposite sex), give your strength; give comfort, give your smile; give your prayers; give your best   : make phone calls (flash if you are short of airtime); send messages; comment on appearance, dressings etc; ask if they have eaten even if you don’t have food to give them; visit people; run errands for people (it doesn’t lower your status).
GIVE YOURSELF, GOD WILL BE HONORED, OTHERS WILL BE ENCOURAGED AND YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN TRILLION DOLLARS!

KEEP GOING

Is the goal distant and troubled the road
And the way long and heavy your load
Then gird up your courage
And say “I am strong”,
And keep going

Is the work weary and endless the ground
And the pay?
Then brace up your mind
And say “something better is coming my way”
And keep doing

Is the drink bitter, life pours in your cup
Is the taste gall?
Then smile and look up
And say “God is with  me whatever befall”
And keep trusting.

Is the heart heavy with hope long deferred
And with prayers that seem vain?
Keep saying the word
And that which you strive for you yet shall attain
Keep praying

JUST IN TIME

When the Israelites were in agony and they cried in despair
God remembers his promises and help came JUST IN TIME
When Moses was born at the time when it was crime to give birth to a male child
God remembers His own and help came JUST IN TIME
When the Israelites left the land of slavery and are faced with by the scary red sea
God remembers His love and help came JUST IN TIME
When the Israelites had lost hope of ever leaving the land of slavery
God remembers His Covenant and help came JUST IN TIME
When Joseph was sold to abort his great dreams and he landed in the prison
God remembers His loved ones and help came JUST IN TIME
When Saul chased after David and almost had him killed
God remembered his anointed and help came JUST IN TIME
when the scary hands of sickness sold the life of King Hezekiah to death
God remembered his words and help came JUST IN TIME
When Herod stretched forth his hands to kill Jesus
God remembered his love and help came JUST IN TIME
No matter the state I am now
I know and I am sure
That JUST IN TIME, my God will remember me
This month is my month of victory
This month is my month of success
This month is my month of breakthrough
This month is my month of blessings
This month is my month of testimony
Because this month is JUST IN TIME when God will answer my prayers.

Best Advice

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
He therefore that despise, despise not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

ADIEU TO MY LEGEND!

The greatest man of his time,
Who was the best in whatever he does;
A man of great mind,
Oh now six feet deep.

He will never say yes or no,
Without confiding in no man but himself;
A man of high intellectual quotient,
Oh now six feet deep.

Who can ever suspect him?
When all around fears and envy him,
A man of great passion,
Oh now six feet deep.

Disobedience that is unpardonable,
Destruction that is unchangeable,
A man of reprobate heart was he,
Oh now six feet deep.

How I wish he yielded to warning,
And not take advantage of the weakness of others,
A man of irresistible selfishness,
Oh now six feet deep.

He struggled since birth to be known,
He struggled his way to the warfront,
A man of wild mind,
Oh now six feet deep.

He continues in his struggle,
Even after achieving what he wanted,
A man of unsatisfied wants,
Oh now six feet deep.

He should have yielded the warning,
When it comes his way the first time,
But he is a man of short sight,
Oh now six feet deep.

Well I do not miss you,
Because you have cause me so much pains and sorrow,
Through your selfishness and ME attitude,
Go on with it in your grave.

If you are chance to make a second world,
Though I doubt if you could ever make it,
All the same, I want you to retrace your steps,
And make others do the right thing at the right time.

Who else could my legend be?
If not the pride and ego in me,
That drives me wild and rough,
Satisfying myself at the expense of others!

Now he is gone!
Totally gone out my life!
I feel secured and assured about myself,
Because there is no more hurt and destruction.

Adieu………………………my ego……………..
Adieu……………………..…my pride……………
Adieu……………………….…my self……..………..
Adieu……………………….My legend…………..
